Compatibility notes

Emulating this? It should run fine under: Basilisk II

I'm on the latest Mac OS (as of today) and everything (well almost everything:) is working. External midi is still problematic but multitrack audio performance has been excellent with both the X-32 universe and the Apogee Symphony II Thunderbolt converter system. My X-32 has been upgraded and has a 'LIVE' card in the option slot; it likes it. Mo'Slo basic is a free slowdown utility that can run in native DOS on any x86 CPU (80386 or higher), even with frequencies above 1.0 THz. It slows your computer to the speed of a 4.77 MHz PC/XT by default, or you can specify an amount to slow down from 0.01% to 99.99%. For others, there's SheepShaver, a PowerPC emulator capable of running Mac OS 9.0.4 down to Mac OS 7.5.2 and there's Basilisk II, a 68k emulator, capable of running Mac OS (8.1 to 7.0). For everything older than System 7, you will need a Mac Plus emulator like Mini vMac NEW! Browse and download a wide variety of award-winning video, audio, business, utility, or graphics software programs for both PC and Mac.

Kontakt runs stand-alone and as a plug-in on PC and Mac machines. The SWAM sound engine used for the soprano sax runs as a VST or AU plug-in on PC (Windows 7 or XP, 32/64 bit) and Intel Mac (OS 10.5 or higher). It will work in Cubase, Logic, Garage Band, and so on, but a VST host is required to run it outside a sequencer.
